The Oberoi, Mauritius is located along the Baie aux Tortues on the island’s North West Coast. The hotel is 15 km away from the capital city of Port Louis near the buzzing small town of Grand Baie and 60km from the airport, a 50 minute drive.

The Villas and Pavilions at The Oberoi, Mauritius are sheltered by charming thatched roofs and afforded magnificent views across the Indian Ocean or the hotel’s lush, sub-tropical garden. All feature rustic oak and natural cane furniture, wall-to-wall windows and sumptuous marble bathrooms which look out onto private, walled gardens.

The Luxury Villa with Private Pool provides spectacular sea views whilst the Luxury Villa with Garden offers verdant views of their private sub-tropical garden. These spacious Villas offer a splendid, king-size bedroom and plush furnished living area along with an open air dining pavilion where one may enjoy 24-hour in-room dining. The Luxury Pavilions afford unparalleled views across the Indian Ocean from the thatched bedroom and living space.

Restaurant/Bar

Guests can enjoy unique dining experiences in the fantastic al fresco restaurants and bars at The Oberoi, Mauritius.
Located in traditional thatched roof structures, The Restaurant and Bar is a formal dining venue, serving Creole, International and Asian cuisine and offers spectacular views across the Indian Ocean.

On the Rocks is a truly unique dining venue, located on top of dark volcanic rocks that extend into the ocean. Diners can almost dip their toes in the waters as they savour fresh sea food from the live grill, salads, pasta and wood-fired pizza.

The Gunpowder Room is open for dinner twice a week for a small number of guests and is a recognised national monument that dates back to French colonial times. It also has a traditional wine cellar for wine tasting sessions and a menu featuring traditional Mauritian cuisine. A prior reservation is required.

The Bar is housed in a traditional, open-sided thatched roof structure, caressed by balmy sea breezes and lit by a magnificent cast iron chandelier. An ebony piano is played by jazz and classical musicians every evening. Guests can enjoy uninterrupted ocean views while they enjoy high tea, a cocktail at sundown, or sip on a classic martini, fine wine, local beer or local rum.
